What is faith?  It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.
Hebrews 11:1

What is the Tuesday Informer?

You will received a weekly e-Informer from the school office on Tuesday with information pertaining to upcoming events at Central Day School.  Periodically you will received emails with information pertaining to specific upcoming events.

The Tuesday Informer envelope is the teacher's way of communicating with you weekly about important classroom news. It will contain a classroom newsletter, permission forms, graded papers, and conduct updates.  Please read the information, sign and return the envelope each Wednesday.  Stay in the know by reading the Informer!

Lunch Program

We are again offering the lunch program for the 2010/2011 school year.  However, we have expanded to include all five days.  We are delighted to have the same great vendors - Chick-Fil-A, Sonic, Back Yard Burgers, Subway, and CiCi's - join us again. We will also offer Jello, mixed fruit (peaches, pears, pineapples), diced peaches, mandarin oranges, and sliced apples with the meals.  An online lunch order form will be mailed to you in a separate email on Friday. It will be on the CDS website under the Tuesday Informer tab.  If you need assistance, please call Stacey Fleming at 255-8212.

Carline

Car lines in the morning and the afternoons have been flowing very well for the beginning of the school year.  Remember that as everyone becomes more accustomed, it will be even smoother and faster.  A few things to keep in mind.  Be sure and move as soon as the vehicles in front of you proceed.  In the mornings, if you are stopped within the cones, please have your student exit as quickly as possible - do not wait to get to the front of the line, it will hold up the line.  NO STUDENTS should be dropped off at the canopy door.  For safety reasons, please do not talk on your cell phone while the carline is moving.  We appreciate everyone's cooperation in making car line as smooth as possible.

Don't Be Late . . .

But if you are ... A parent must accompany him/her to check in the office. If a child is dropped off at the front door of the building, the school office and your child's teacher have no way of knowing your child is even in the building. If the child's class is not in the classroom, the child may not know what to do. For security and safety, do not drop off children at the front door, please escort them to the office. Students may not arrive before 7:45 a.m. There is no staff on duty to supervise them until 7:45. Please make arrangements for before care with Central Learning Center (255-8133) if you must arrive before then.
